Hey guys I’ve been very busy with a few projects online and a lot of projects offline, you know how it can get sometimes. I will keep this updated but in the meantime, I want to offer you some beta invites to keep you entertained.
Just reply in a comment with what you’d like to get and I’ll send an invitation your way! Make sure to include a legit e-mail in the mailto: form, or else I won’t be able to send you anything…

I’m out of iminlikewithyou but will send an invite your way if I get more. You have been invited to moola and spock, though.
A warning to Mac users; Moola doesn’t seem to work at all. It keeps telling me that I don’t have Flash installed, which is a lie, and won’t let me get to the game. This happens in both Safari and Firefox.

I’m guessing you’re using Safari. I wonder if it would make a difference with another browser? That’s definitely something the developers need to take into consideration, but I guess it’s still be beta for a reason haha.
I think I made around $0.20 at Moola! Woohoo! But then lost it… I’m terrible at those games.

Thanks a lot! Joost is working beautifully, except some minor bugs with the menu and stuff. Without a doubt the best online TV solution I’ve ever seen. I’m looking forward to the release.

Did you notice in the installer it had “Joost for Everyone”, instead of the “Joost for Friends”?
But, once the program opened up it was back to “Joost for Friends.” I had to reinstall because my old version wasn’t working any more.

No, I didn’t notice that. You’ve got a good point. ^^
I am afraid it will become a nerd-with-high-speed-internet-phenomena, though. I moved to Australia earlier this year, and the most common broadband connection is incredibly slow compared to Europe. I’ve got 8mbit, and most of the guys at uni are like “uh, why? what’s wrong with 512?”.
I hope indie producers will pick up on this, though! That would be awesome. Cheap, easy and great. Diversity ftw.
How do you think they’ve solved the advertisement stuff? Will there be commercials before every program? (Will someone create a no-commercials patch?)
I love it anyhow, and it’s a huuuuuge step in the right direction.

I think the future is in broadband entertainment: rentals, on-demand television, gaming, etc. Everything will be stored in a remote cache at your fingertips– for a fee!
Look at what AppleTV is doing right now, for instance. If I were an investor my money would be in some of these smaller videocasters that are producing HD content for AppleTV (such as revision3 which has already went through a round of VC funding).
I’m not sure about the people still lost in the world of dial-up or even low speed broadband such as 500k…

Also, about the 8apps invites, I was invited 2 times yesterday morning from someone else and have not recieved the invites.. I think it’s on their end! (I don’t have a spam folder in my exchange mail)
