Highest Paying Adsense Keywords

Written By: admin Posted On: November 15, 2007 Tags:

Mark over at 45n5 recently posted about how he thinks Google values keywords and subjects. He brought up some interesting points, such as a possible value difference depending on the time of day an ad is accessed (pretty good idea Mark, didn’t really think about that one).

For example: “order a pizza” may be more valuable to the advertiser at lunch time than at 5am when the business may be closed. The same principle can be applied to seasonal times of the year, etc.

His question really boils down to Google ROI value variables on Apples vs Apples. Some people may also be curious which niches will pay publishers the most per click, Apples vs Oranges. A list like this would definitely save a webmaster days of research, and as I’ve said so many times before: time is money. Luckily for you, I’ve got just such list.

Hey - thanks for the list! I have been searching for this. I found it once and lost it. Why do you think I have a blog dedicated to Anti-Aging and Loans - - it’s due to this keyword value.

So far, I’ve done pretty well with my adsense income and this list definitely helps to improve some more.

Glad to see you have a new post! You write extremely well and I would hate to lose your wisdom.. ;)

Thanks for the tip, Scot. I haven’t had a chance to visit 45n5 in a ocple days …I’m heading right over there to take a look.

None of us “knows” exactly what Google is doing but the theory that there is a correlation between times of day and days of the week for certain AdWords click costs/AdSense payouts certainly is born out by my AdSense history. An AdSense clcik on ad “A” frequently pays less than half when it is made in the middle of the night thna during business hours. Is this because Google adjusts the prices by day/time of day or because they adjust prices by demand … less page views in the wee hours, thus less ad impressions so cost to advertiser/payout to publisher is lower? Don’t begin to know why … and actually don’t need to … it’s the way it works

HEY! I like this place! I was wondering if my site could possibly get some feedback from the more experienced SEO’ers affiliate marketers. Just hoping. I’m new to the arena.

    Johnny,

here’s some feedback as you asked. Remeber the old lawyer’s saying … never ask the question unless you want to hear the answer.
    1. You will never know how many people get PO’d when they are addressed by strangers by the greeting “Hey”.
    2. Get off Blogger. No way is anyone thinking of buying a $1300 treadmill going to take a Blogspot writer seriously. There are many good domains, even .coms available for your niche. SEO for a Blogspot domain, IMO, is a waste of time.
    3. Tell people who you are and what you know about treadmills … your site is completely anonymous so who is going to trust _you_ with a $1300 purchase, or recommendation to purchase? There are thousands of sites selling and reviewing products … people listen to and buy from friends or people they relate to. Write messages on your blog that seem to come from you, personally, not from factory sales brochures.

Hope this helps a bit … your niche actually seems agood one, especially with the “got to lose that Holiday fat” season repidly approaching. Be well.

My wife was watching the Today Show a few weeks ago where they did a story about a guy making $6k - 7k a month with a handyman site. She started bugging me about this again tonight. Your list is perfect. Hopefully it will inspire her.

Oh, I’ve been testing your advice about ditching the blogspot address. I think I can build up a $500 a month within 3 months of this and build it to 3k a month in a year using only blogspot based on my present results since september. Made nearly 200 bucks this month already!

    Thanks.

I’ll be sure to keep you posted.
