Clicky Web Analytics 2.0, Alexa For Firefox
Posted By On July 21, 2007 @ 3:25 am In Cool Resources | 11 Comments
I’ve been a long-time user of the [1] Clicky analytics program, and they’ve just released a new dashboard. While I haven’t had the time to thoroughly explore– I must say it’s looking great. It borrows a page from some of the other popular stats packages in that it gives you all of your data on login at your fingertips, but with some beautiful ajax work.

If you haven’t tried [1] Clicky yet, I must say you should give it a go. I use it alongside [2] Google Web Analytics and it works great for showing stats that are much more updated than Web Analytics (real-time). I also have [3] Urchin installed on my server (which is the same thing as Google Web Analytics but on the server side), but [1] Clicky gets the job done with real-time monitoring. It’s also handy to have a quick, easy-to-access log so that you can see if you’re being [4] dugg or [5] stumbled or what not and make any necessary adjustments.
For all of you Wordpress fanatics, Clicky can actually track your commentators. You can also assign a name to a specific IP so you can follow someone more closely and get a better understanding of what they’re doing on your website. This is one of my favorite features, and is sure to bring out the stalker in us all.
Anyway, there are too many features to list here– if you’re looking for something to supplement your Analytics program, this just might be for you. There’s even a [1] wordpress plugin! One thing I wish they would improve upon is their referral program… Cash money, please!
The arguments over whether or not [6] Searchstatus extension for [7] Firefox are truly reporting hits has all come to an end with Alexa’s new Firefox plugin. I wonder how this is going to affect the top 100,000 now that Alexa will be reporting more accurate results from those using Firefox (a strict demographic).

It’s small in size and actually shows a small flow chart of trends for the particular site you’re viewing. I must say I like it a bit more than the other options out there, and it’s obviously guaranteed to report back to Alexa servers. So, what are you waiting for? [8] Download it now!
